A short story

I've been doing some light reading here and there when I have time. Just finished Sputnik Sweetheart by Haruki Murakami. I like it a lot, and am not compelled to justify. Instead, on a similar thread concerning my impatience I've been reading some short stories by Aimee Bender, in The Girl in the Flammable Skirt. Short stories are nice because I can complete an entire story in between classes or on a longer work break.

Laurie OM introduced me to Bender through this story. I like it a lot as well, see for your self:

A Friend Of Mine

A pretty good movie I randomly chose on hulu the other day. A reviewer summarized it as such:

I appreciated the overall mood of the movie and its subtle storytelling. This movie won't blow you away, but it stuck with me after I watched it. A movie about how friendship chooses us and not the other way.

Learned about thefuntheory.com in my marketing class today. It was a highlight in my otherwise VERY boring class. I've described my teacher to another student in my class as "very excited about the subject matter... in the most boring way." She is really just too nice and boring and cutesy. Not what I want in a marketing professor. I don't know why. Well, yes I do. I just think marketing is so timely. I don't need examples of ads shown in the 80's and how they were effective then and marketing just always felt like this fast paced, cut throat, creative craziness. Also, the entire class is going to be too easy and that means I've already begun to and will continue to slack off.

Also there are two annoying students in my class. Student 1 doesn't think before he speaks and Student 2 thinks about things way too much and wants to find the exception to every lesson.

Anyway, this post was about that fun theory.

Isn't that just so... nice? Ok, I was more impressed with it in class but in contrast to the snooze fest 101, it was really cool. Though I would personally rather have these.

1:30 pm - 3:30 pm: Marketing

4:00 pm - 6:00 pm: Preparing for layout

6:00 - 2:00 am: The Spectator layout

Roughly 15 hours of work in 18 waking hours.

This past Saturday, Whitney served as the maid of honor at her friends, Laura and Tom's wedding. After the night wound down I decided we needed a photoshoot with my favorite chair at the reception mansion.
